About Me

Who is Your Older Sis?  I am a successful lawyer and business woman, both things that I never knew I could become.

View this short video for clips of my story:

I am the very proud daughter of immigrant parents.  Spanish was the only language spoken at home, and my first introduction to the English language was in kindergarten.  I was raised in a traditional Mexican home full of love, yet education was a foreign concept to my parents.  Growing up I did not know anybody that had gone to college (other than my teachers), much less anybody that had obtained a graduate degree.

Growing up I wanted an older sister that I could go to for advice without being judged.  I had many challenges in my educational and career path.  As a result I have learned a great deal and experienced a whole lot- I do not want my experience and knowledge to be wasted.  I want you to benefit from it.

The purpose of this blog is to provide a place for you to ask those questions relating to career, education and professional development that you do not feel comfortable asking others or that you simply have nobody else to ask.  I am ready, how can I help?

How do you know which colloege is the best for you? There are many great universities, but how would you know if it's suited for you?
